Marlene Green, 79, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2013 at Seashore Point in Provincetown, MA. Marlene was born in Bangor, Maine. She was adopted at a very early age by Leah & George Donnelly of Provincetown, Ma. Marlene met her late & beloved husband, James Green Sr, after he served time in the U.S Marines. Together, they raised six children in Manhattan and Flushing Queens, New York. Marlene would bring all her children every year to Provincetown where her parents owned & operated the Ocean Breeze guest house. Eventually Marlene inherited the guest house and continued to operate it for several more years. After selling the guest house, she worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the original Cape End Manor back in the 1980′s and then as a Parking Lot attendant for the Town of Provincetown. Marlene loved both of her jobs and was a very devoted mother to her children. She also had many friends and relatives in Provincetown. Marlene leaves behind six children; Ronald Green of Attleboro, George Green of Provincetown and Roger Green of Provincetown, James Green Jr. of Framingham, Andrew Green of Provincetown, and Kenneth Green of Framingham, MA plus many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Services will be held at a later date.
